AGM - End of Season Dinner - March
The AGM was held in the Shimpling Bush Public House are thanks to them for letting us have a room for the meeting to go ahead.
The agenda went through the officers where most incumbent people were happy to continue in their roles including Skipper Benjamin Atkinson and new vice Captain Niall Hannan.
One notable thing is the end of season Dinner & Awards will be early in March with the 8th a possibility but venue to be confirmed along with the date.
The price per person is approximately £25.00 per head but more details later. So please keep the 1st, 8th, and 15th March [Saturday] free in your diary if possible.
The first game weather permitting is Exning away which is on the 13th April at the lovely Exning Park but with all the Atkinson's away due to Ben running the London Marathon that day [all sponsorship would be grateful] will leave Niall in charge of that game with no doubt some advice from senior members but it is all preparation for the new season.
Peter Richards and his band of men Nick Rutter [still collecting the money and fines] Dave Armstrong are doing the pitch but this band can always do with extra help during the season they all with others do a lot of work some unnoticed but should not be so please if you can help get in touch with those guys.
Match fees will remain the same and some allowances for special circumstances may prevail if needed, the money will be collected by Nick Rutter on match days.
We are now in Division Three of the Hunts league and probably where we should have been last season and now as commented we know how the England Cricket team felt in Australia for coming second in more games than first.
The meeting was attended by more than a dozen team members plus Ron who is always a welcome site to see turn up and support the club.
The Captain said he may have the odd one of two new players potentially play plus an old player coming back in the name of Richard Nunn but it was mentioned that any players who know of people who would like to play a few games to get them on board and interested with injuries, holidays, work, the skipper will always need to have a few extra players to pick from.
Lastly our thanks to Chairman John Ralling who in his role went through the evening agenda superbly in his own inimitable style which we are lucky to have him plus carrying on his role.
If I have missed anyone out I apologise but like the game itself on the field and off the field, its all about team work.

PS On the night there was a query on one person batting average but looking at the stats the one player was not out hence the figures were as always correct.
