‎60 points from a possible 60! wow! Another amazing game and another great win. Arriving at stonham i thought that we would miss the 2 h's ( hoagy and hoads), also our form here had not been very good in recent years. Jordan and Jake came in last minute. It was a really hot day and the pitch looked great, i lost the toss but got my own way as we were fielding first. Jack and Tates opened up and bowled great spells both getting a brace leaving the hosts struggling after 20 overs on 38-4. Dave, Nicko, and Shaun got the last 6 wickets and stonham finished on 108 all out off 37 overs. Mostly good catching, great fielding and a direct runout by Dave sealed a truly great performance in the field.
Robbo said that he had learnt a thing or two whilst watching the cricket this week, and claimed that from now on he was going to bat like "the wall" raul dravid, there was almost silence in the dressing room. Robbo opened the batting with Mr Armstrong, robbos first ball got spanked for 4, he was bowled for 57 from 30 balls (the wall my foot!). ben joined dave and together saw us home, with dave hitting the winning runs with a boundary and finishing on 31 not out.
We only took 13 overs to get the runs and then both teams had a drink in the sun.
This was a fantastic team performance from start to finish and i am proud (and a little shocked) to say that WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
