Weather Forecast Proved to be Correct - Long Melford Off.

The weather forecast for Sunday was ultimately correct with rain sweeping in overnight and staying with us for most of the day.


Long Melford reported just after 11 O'clock that standing water on the actual pitch plus the continued showers during the afternoon called the game off.


Let's hope now that the weather forecast is correct for next week as they are predicting that during the week we will experience increased temperatures and sunshine, fingers crossed.


The Captain will no doubt text out the availability of players plus a thank you to Peter Richards and Shaun Faires who were both going to play even though carrying injuries, great commitment to the cause.


Next week is another away game at Walsham-le Willows who I can't recall playing for a reasonable time, lets hope for great weather the sun to shine and lots of fun on the Cricket Pitch.
