AGM - The Outcome

AGM

The Hartest and Coldham Hall AGM was held at the Swan Public House in Lawshall and our thanks for letting us hold it in their restaurant is very much appreciated.

Nearly a dozen players turned out and the Chairman Peter Richards took the meeting, below is an overview of the election of the officers;

Chairman - Peter Richards
Vice Chairman - Dave Armstrong
Treasurer - Nick Rutter
Secretary - David Hodge
Captain - Ben Atkinson
Vice Captain - Richard Carter
Groundsmen - Peter, Nicko, Dave and any other teams members who can get up to help.
Debt Collector - Nick Rutter
Child Welfare Officer - Ben Atkinson.

Treasure Report - Healthy with an approximate figures given to the members.

No Captain's Report but was willing to continue into 2017.

Groundsmen Report
Quite a bit on here, Nick and Dave had bought a new stuff for the pitch and said a new roller maybe required with the current one so old and spares maybe very difficult to get a hold of if at all.

If anyone knows of a roller and reasonably priced then please contact a member of the club please.

Shaun Faiers has retired from playing but still involved with repairs or replacement of windows and doors plus a scoreboard when he is able to do so with him now being a Granddad our congratulations to him and the family for that plus a new hip.

The Captain has been challenged with his connections to Mr Cricket to purchase for the club a new set of stumps and bails plus a spare set of heavy bails for the very rare occasion the wind is blowing a gale up at the Richards Oval.

Extremely important - New Players - please can everyone just simply ask their friends, neighbours and complete strangers if they would like the chance to play for a great friendly well fed and lubricated Cricket team, we are potentially looking for at least 4 players can play regularly, we need the new life blood to keep the team moving forward and keep the club going well into the future.

Once again thank you to the Swan who are willing to ask potential regulars who maybe interested and a family member coming over from New Zealand in May for two years could easily be one, a young group of guys I was told also not interested in cricket was asked one said they were looking to do a sport in the summer, Please Just Ask - they can only say no.

Nets - not confirmed but Dickie is going to confirm that we have three net sessions coming up quite quickly at Culford School from 7.00PM to 8.00PM for a small fee on the 1st, 8th, and 15th, of March - Please Note this has not been confirmed, either check the Website or the Captain.

Sam Holder who was out with injury all last season has said he is looking to get back into playing again this season, it will be good to see Sam back playing again.

The Swan was very quickly voted to have the end of season dinner / awards if they will have us when the player of the year and other trophies like the Oscars are dished out, they have always looked after us and superb quality of food with beverages are second to none.

A few players said they were available for the friendly with EXNING CC although be aware it is Easter Sunday, which means a day to recover after the game.

The Swan asked for a poster to be put up in the Pub and Ian Titch Copping said he would try and get a piece into the local parish magazine for new players or people who would like to come and watch or participate within the club in a non playing role.

The meeting ended when most of the guys went for a refill and a good chat was had by all, our thanks goes again to the Swan plus Peter Richards chairing the meeting, 2017 season is nearly here, roll on the summer.
